Well.... Not really.
No, this isn't spam, this is a real suggestion for Where's George, and it has nothing to do with money, except what WG is for anyway. Just keep reading, you'll get what I mean.
Here's the idea:
When a new person first registers, determine if that person is here because they are entering a bill, or they just heard about it from the media.
(Check to see if their first bill gives someone a hit.)
If that person is here because they found someone's bill, then you connect those two users. (Make some sort of note in the database or something, don't surgically attach Georgers. This tends to be painful and messy). All that needs to be recorded are the user numbers of the new user, and the person's bill they found to make them a new, registered user.
Once a day, a report can then be generated, much like the state rankings page.
This report would be for each user. It would show something much like this:
Your bills have attracted the following user(s):
#24 #45 #503 #4502
#503 has attracted the following user(s):
#4954 #40023
#4954 has attracted the following user(s):
#53293
And then, if the different users had a profile, then clicking on the number would bring up that profile, so you could laugh and say: "Ha! I have gotten someone else addicted!"
I'm sure there's a better way to display the info, but I would be REALLY interested to see just how many hopeless addicts, er, I mean Georgers I am responsible for ruining their lives, I mean, uh, well you know what I mean.
At least, I hope you know what I mean.
