I noticed something funny about the George score. MsKushner's score is nearly as high as Adam's even though Adam has nearly twice as many bills entered and twice as many hits! Then it occured to me that its because of the use of the natural log. The use of the logarithmic curve puts a de facto upper limit on the George score. A difference of 1 at a high value is greater than a difference of 1 at a low value. Even if Adam entered 1,000,000 bills and had the same hit rate, his George score would be only 1501. That means a 1,373% increase in his bills entered earned him only a 26% increase in George score.

Seems to me we should have a more linear formula for calculating the George score. But a few checks on numbers reveals that the George scores would get very large indeed. And using other exponential methods doesn't really change anything. They just shift the upper limit higher or lower.

Maybe having a logarithmic curve isn't so bad. Makes us seem more learned. :) Maybe a new curve that has a really really high limit. Thoughts? Hank?
