(Online Journal) —In spring 1999, Marvin Pierce Bush, youngest brother of George W. Bush, was a nominee for the boards of directors of two companies, both with a significant interest in security at the World Trade Center.
One was HCC Insurance, formerly Houston Casualty Company, a giant holding company and major insurance carrier for the WTC.
The other was a security company named Stratesec, one of the WTC's numerous security contractors.
Now get this: Marvin is now making a bundle off of 'Patriot Act' - compliance from Sybase through Winston Partners.
An interesting point according to Winston Partner's website is Sami F. Al-Bashir, who "held the positions of Credit Analyst and then Portfolio Manager (Alternative Asset Management) at National Commercial Bank in Saudi Arabia."
The National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia is a defendant in the suit against the Al Qaeda network, which was filed by the families of the 9-11 victims. [USA Today, 10/29/99, Boston Herald, 12/10/01]
