Jeanne,

1) jennene's profile map image URL:
http://www.wheresgeorge.net/hitmaps/hit_map_49487b71a87b6f479dbacbb3bc79037b.png?md=605ac13117bae148bd010f610833baad

Han's profile map image URL:
http://www.wheresgeorge.net/hitmaps/hit_map_8c5602c2b9e5b4bb4f478e1be65c2b17.png?md=605ac13117bae148bd010f610833baad

The address could be fine. I think you should regenerate the map again, browser refresh, and re-copy and paste the map image URL (if different than what currently exists).

2) jennene's profile Home Page URL:
http://www.wheresgeorge.com/"http://www.wheresgeorge.com/hit_map.php3baad"

A) I think the 'Home Page URL' is supplied for an actual webpage URL not an image file.
B) The URL seems to be corrupted – as if two separate URLs were combined.

[JT, please read the following]

C) Even if you corrected the URL and supplied 'http://www.wheresgeorge.com/hit_map.php3' it may not work. There is no user identified number to distinguish your map from others. If you went to that URL, maybe, that's why your map disappeared. I just opened a new window, typed in 'http://www.wheresgeorge.com/hit_map.php3' in the address box, performed a browser refresh, and my map disappeared on my profile. *laugh* I would not suggest linking to that URL. Use that link location box to point to another site, not an image.

JT,

: I was able to view jennene's corrupted hit map without it affecting mine. The link is to the URL in her profile code, not the one in her Home Page URL box which is totally screwed up. That surprised me after the go around with Dena.

Yeah, it probably did not corrupt your map image (or mine when I viewed it) because:
1) the URL did not contain http://www.wheresgeorge.net/hitmaps/hit_map ... png? [… equals the user assigned number by Hank (or the system)].
2) I believe we experience Dena's problem, when the user has problems with their 'initial' map image URL. Once the map has been properly displayed (generated and browser refresh), I don't think we can re-create the same problem again for a given user.

As I mentioned above under 'jennene's profile Home Page URL: C)' – this may explain why people's map images have disappeared (in the past). This is different from the 'initial' map image URL issue. Nevertheless, it something to keep in mind. *smile*

Again, I have updated WG FOG 50 State Map Instructions.

: An yes, I think that we are straighten out on the New Windows thing.

Yes, I think we are in agreement. *smile*

Thanks,
Hans,
