I would have to guess that when you copied Dena's URL into the Address box (2nd time tonight), you moved her non-existent image into your browser cache (thus corrupting it). So, when you went to view your profile map, a corrupted Dena's image was in cache. Then you regenerated your map and hit the browser refresh, you essentially overlaid the corrupted Dena image with your correctly defined map image, thus correctly displaying your map. This is only a guess. *smile*
Macbeth, unfortunately I have no comment on what happened to you today, sorry.
Thanks,
Hans,
: Someday we'll figure it out. Mine just disappeared again (2nd time tonight). I copied and pasted Dena's URL into the Address box (map wasn't there as expected) and then went to look at mine and it was gone again. My map is not in my profile but I have it Bookmarked. Figuring out whether you are looking at a cached copy or a freshly downloaded copy makes things a lot tougher. I've been clearing my cache periodically. I may try disabling my cache and see if that makes it any easier to dechipher.
: Please let HMG or myself know if you learn anything about it. Thanks
: : This afternoon (sometime between 1 PM and 3 PM I think) my FOG state map disappeared from my profile. I wanted to tell you in case it was in any way related as this had happened to me once before and JT from MD had tried to help me with it then too. I knew I had to refresh the page and I did try that but still my map was gone.
: : What happened today was this...at around 9 AM I made a new FOG state map because yesterday I got a hit in Virginia. The map regenerated fine and everything was cool with my profile. Then this afternoon I was just hanging around wheresgeorge as I usually do, clicking on this and that, and I decided to look at my profile to see if there was anything I could think of to add to it and then, to my astonishment, there was just my legend to the map but the map was gone.
: : I went back to Your Bills and Hits by State and there was NO MAP AT ALL there, just the boxes below to enter your colors and cut-off numbers. So I regenerated my map again and it still did not show up {{{argh!}}} so from that screen I refreshed the window and sure enough my map was back.
: : This may be of no use to you at all but I didn't want to keep it to myself in case it would be helpful in figuring out what is going wrong.
: : Thanks,
