I assume that after 8 months and 900 bills, your basic hit rate would have reached its "steady state" value of about 25 percent, and therefore your hit yield would have *passed through* one per day, on its way higher. If your basic hit rate had been lower, your yield might have *settled* at one per day, in a little bit shorter time.

I keep intending to write up a table of the number of bills needed to be entered, to achieve specific probabilities of long hit streaks, and I keep not getting around to it. One day soon, I hope.
