If people wanted to leave because of that, then I told them fine - then they miss the point of the site ENTIRELY. Somehow people got up on a soapbox and told me outright that they would have handled it differently then I did, and they hold themselves to a "higher standard" and refuse to participate in a site that is run by someone who has a different OPINION. Their loss, not mine. If anyone wants to leave Where's George? over the events of the last few days, you're not going to get me to beg you to stay.

: So, if anyone thinks the site was "irreparably damaged", take a GOOD HARD LOOK at how and why you use the site, and then rethink that statement. When you have hundreds or even thousands of people interacting online, you're bound to have a few disagreements along the way. Don't let it ruin the fun for you - that's just shortsighted.

: I received plenty of emails from people commenting on the recent spat and that they were unhappy about it, or offering advice or information or whatever... but most all of them also said "I still love Where's George? and I'm not going to let something like this spoil the fun for me". Now that's the attitude to have.
