The topic of hunting up ZIP code maps for LA came up recently and I remembered I have the zip code polygon coverage from the census that can be easily used to generate maps from. I've posted the preliminary few (LA, San Fran, Sac, San Diego, Portland OR, Seattle, NYC, Chicago) at:

Some of these files are enormous in dimension, your browser may not open them directly and old PCs with less memory may choke on them. You're free to d/l, chop, slice, dice, and anything else to them for your area of interest. I'll add more as I have time to do them and will do some non-city areas if requested.

You're also free to host them on your own site (would Hank?), I have a fair amount of bandwidth allotment on the server but this might kill it.
