: What do we do when the pronouncements of the Great Magenta One aren't internally consistent? :)

Ummm, refer to the latest dated quote by our illustrious Magenta leader. *smile* No, I don't have any of posts to refer to either. *laugh*

On a more serious note, I wanted to thank you again for your excellent 'BEP Monthly Production Statistics' http://www.sit.wisc.edu/~dmoffitt/serials/ and related pages. It is very helpful when assisting will 'Bill Correction' Contact Us Requests.

Thanks again.
HMG,

: Unless I'm hallucinating, there's a thread somewhere--don't ask me where; you're the archivist :) --in which Hank said that a "bulk" deposit was more than four marked bills. That's the rule I've been trying to follow; several times I've deposited two or three marked bills (generally $20's and higher), and I've thought this to be within the rules.

: To me, at least, that interpretation seems to be more consistent with the second thread you linked. Our marked bills have to pass through banks all the time, simply because there are so many of them in circulation; the essential point is to keep large batches of them from going to banks all together. Therefore, we shouldn't make bulk deposits, or spend huge numbers of bills at a place whence they're likely to go straight to a bank undiluted.

: I dunno what to make of the first thread you linked, though, relative to this discussion. What do we do when the pronouncements of the Great Magenta One aren't internally consistent? :)
