Firstoff, I must admit that even tho (and these are YOUR words my sweet, not MINE!) ya might have disliked all of your mom's stupid sayings (didn't we ALL...and NOW just look at us sayin' all those 'stupid sayings' ourselves!), I can see from your post that your mother did an OUTSTANDING job at raising her son. Therefore, I feel that both your mother AND your words above are to be highly commended! Secondly, even tho I myself was a child who was raised in the 50's and was told that I "should be seen and not heard" and considering the fact that I have yet to respond in any of the forums here, THIS post caught my eye and I simply HAD to speak up for the very first time. So, I sincerely thank you my dear for advising all us folks here about the basics of good common sense...and politness to all. Happy holidays everyone!!
