Here at WG we politely attempt to enforce some order. Each forum has a purpose. And if used correctly, they can be quite informative. If items are put in the correct places, they will be easier to find. This is beneficial to both the asker and answerer.
I like assisting people. So, the first forum that I visit is the ‘New User and Q+A Forum’. Actually, many seasoned Georgers do. That’s where we expect so see the questions that we can assist you. Some of us don’t frequent all the other forums; we may never see your question in another forum. So, the ‘New User and Q+A Forum’ would be the place to ask your questions, resulting in the quickest response. Don’t let the name mislead you. It is for ‘New Users’, and it is for ‘Questions and Answers’ … WG, Profiles, HTML… Please don’t post the same question in multiple forums. Someone will answer you, as soon as the login. (smile)
The ‘Main Public Forum (General discussion about Where's George?)’ is the most sensitive forum. If a post does not refer directly to Where’s George, you will notice that many Georgers will redirect those questions to the appropriate forums. Many seasoned Georgers do not like to wade through posts that do directly relate to Where’s George. I have noticed that some Georgers will not answer a question in the ‘Main Public Forum’, but answer the same question in the ‘New User and Q+A Forum’. I guess it’s their way of passively enforcing forum order. (frown)
I think that the ‘Dude, Where's My George? Forum’ is the least sensitive. Almost anything goes in there. Well, it is a family website (smile). It’s a fun forum.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck & Happy Georgering!
