Well, that was almost a year ago, and there are more than twice the users there were since then. I don't believe that Patrick did anything that warranted such a backlash. The rules about not posting "look at my profile" posts aren't really posted anywhere (I'll take the blame for that), and a single kind reminder that "Profile" posts are preferred in the other forums is most helpful. The "forum police" whomever you are, do need to tone it down a few notches. I appreciate the work you do, but please, let's keep the Rodney King type beatings reserved to those who truly deserve it (ads, personal flames, etc). And if you are just suggesting that people post those type of posts to another forum, no need to be anonymous, just post as a friendly reminder and stand behind your helpful hints.
