Hi wh00t! I checked out your website last night, quite interesting, I must say, with some excellent laughs. ;o)
We ALL get strange looks. I'd always heard stories about bills being put under the drawer and wondered why people do that or how you are supposed to react, and then it happened to me. I just shrug it off. They got my money, I got my goods and change, and I've got another marked bill into circulation! heh heh heh!!
When somebody wants to ask a question about it, if they seem younger and more prone towards internet use (studies show that people under the age of 36 will more than likely visit a site if given the chance, while 37 and up won't even think about it once), I'll explain it's a cool website where yadda yadda yadda... You know the spiel. *sigh*
Sometimes I act as though I have no clue what the heck it is, if I'm spending only one bill. If I'm spending a few, I act upset about my wife getting a hold of my money. ROFL!!
I have yet to have somebody who matters give me a problem about my stamp, but I have had problems with bill acceptors on occasion. That's about enough to make me find a different gas station or candy machine. *shrug*
My advice to you would be to keep entering, marking, and spending your bills. Don't worry about weenies who aren't open to the idea because there will be a LOT of people around who will be interested.
