If you use images, the reader cannot do this. Fortunately in this case Hank used separate images and ALT tags which will solve that problem, but many times sites will just put up a huge graphic imagemap. Blind users cannot navigate through that. : : Less severely visually impaired users that set their font size really huge to be able to see the text will be hindered by this since the graphics are a fixed size. They probably won't be able to read the words. : : And physically handicapped users that set their font sizes large so as to create larger hot spots to click (because they lack dexterity with a mouse) would also lose the ability to increase the size of the clickable area with these images. : : So on behalf of the handicapped users out there, I would like to agree with Excelsior in saying that changes such as these are in poor form.
