In my opinion, the collectors discussions are OK, within reason. I also think that it is just a recent trend, and not a long-term change in the purpose of this forum.

Where's George? has been responsible for sparking a currency collecting bug in more than one person, and if it helps more people (especially kids) find educational/intellectual hobbies like that, than I think it is OK to discuss here, again, within reason. I don't want long drawn out arguments over values of certain bills, but if someone wants to know what something means, or how much something is worth, that's OK. I am NOT a bill or coin collector, so these topics don't seriously interest me that much, but I do think it is germane to the entire idea of Where's George? - and it provides a place for people just getting into a hobby a place to communicate with some local experts in a **friendly ** manner.
