"Writing State of Mind" - to the tune of "New York State of Mind" by Billy Joel

Some folks like to use a stamp, to avoid a cramp, when they mark their bills.
Don’t want to spend all day, not much time to kill
But I’m not feeling lazy, and I’ve got lots of time
I’m a writing state of mind

I’ve seen different phrases used, multicolored hues, lots of other stuff
That’s easy to stamp; by hand it must be tough
But I just don’t need it to be perfectly aligned
I’m a writing state of mind

It was so easy stamping day by day
Press down once, then let the ink dry
But now I need to try a less easy way
And use a pen – I want to try

Comes down to the choice I have, do I stamp or write – writing’s what I pick
Don’t care if the pen’s a Sharpie or a Bic
But I don’t any reasons – though insanity comes to mind
I’m in a writing state of mind

It was so easy stamping day by day
Press down once, then let the ink dry
But now I need to try a less easy way
And use a pen – I want to try

Comes down to the choice I have, do I stamp or write – writing’s what I pick
Don’t care if the pen’s a Sharpie or a Bic
But I don’t any reasons – though insanity comes to mind
I’m in a writing state of mind
