My boyfriend and I drove up to Columbus to see "Orange County" with our friend who goes to OSU. The first movie time was sold out, so we bought later tickets and went over to Don Pablos (which I will name, because I've been there twice, and had two bad experiences).
When we were seated, our waiter was apologizing to the table next to us (not a good sign). We looked through the menu, and ordered. Since I am still recovering from the tooth removal, I ordered a cup of tortilla soup. When our food arrived, I looked at my soup, kind of poked at it, and wondered "why are there no tortillas in my tortilla soup?" There were large chunks of chicken, bits of tomato, and plenty of onions (all of which I don't like or can't eat) but no tortillas. So I resigned myself to eating our corn chip appetizer. I managed to finish two chips. This is partially my fault, since I could have complained, but the waiter never asked why I hadn't touched my soup, which a good waiter would have. Also we had to ask for silverware because he hadn't brought any. I also left 15 instead of the usual 20 percent. I have sympathy for waiters and waitresses. By the way, Orange County was funny, but could have been better with better editing/planning.
