I can't really use the poll because:
Sometimes I stamp only the front, sometimes I stamp only the back, sometimes I stamp both, sometimes I stamp the front & handwrite on the back, sometimes I handwrite only on the front, sometimes I handwrite only on the back.

I'm in the same proverbial boat as IB...randomness in technique of marking bills.

I only stamp the front. If I don't have my stamper, I'll hand-write in the margin (on the front).

I stamp the front twice, draw little red arrows to the series and serial number, and use my custom stamp on the back along with a standard one and red handwriting.
I think I'll go mark some bills ...

Recently what I have been doing is only writing on the margins in the front. On the top margin I write:
See where I've been - www.wheresgeorge.com
and on the bottom margin I write:
Bill tracking project - www.wheresgeorge.com

I stamp both front and back, sometimes handwrite, sometimes both. I've started keeping a log to see how they fare.

You use four stamps plus draw arrows plus handwrite on each bill?
that is a ton of marking.

I have to stamp - I would get serious cramping if I had to write on every single bill. I've done more than 64,000 bills now. I shudder to think how long it would take to write on all of them!

I use the standard Stampman stamp that came in red but then the red didn't work anymore so I bought blue ink. Now they are purple. I am getting a new stamp from stamp connection for my birthday. Yay!

this is true for me some of the time too... I try my best to stamp both the front and back... but sometimes it ends up just the front

I stamp or handwrite on the front. I stamped front and back for a few bills, but I just felt it was too much.

I have 2 one-liner stamps that I use.
I stamp only in the margins.
On singles:
front: upper left margin - URL.
back: lower left margin - Currency Tracking Project. Lower right margin - URL.
On 5s and larger:
Front: left vertical margin - URL
back: same as ones

I can't reply to this poll either. I normally stamp both sides....no chicken georges for me. Sometimes I hand write my bills because I left my stamper at home.

Front and back to make sure that if anyone decides to look at the money they will see something.

On the front usually the round 5722 around seal or the anderson oil based one that hugs the edges of George's face. On the back, lately 5 stamps, yes 5. Four around all the edges and a small 4 liner in the middle.

I can't complete the poll as it doesn't have a choice for my markings - front only. Side margins only.
