All I am getting is a whole lot of rain here in Virginia Beach. They are predicting we will get 2 inches by the time the storm moves on out.

Ouch.
It's kind of late in the spring for that much snow in your area, isn't it? There goes Monday's commute...

i'm not tooo far south of you .... and all we have is the hardest, steadiest rain i've ever seen. if it were a bit colder here, we'd be covered in snow, too. it's sooooo bad, Archie (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a39/McHuskyfan/DSCN0055.jpg) doesn't want to go out ... and he lives for the weekends 'cuz it's about the only time i'm home during the daylight when i'll let him outside.

We are scheduled for lots of rain. Hurricane Schwartz (local weather guy) is really fussing over it. Yesterday we were told of 50 mile an hour winds. Today there is just rain. Right now it isn't even raining.
I found the flashlights in case the power goes out, but I think we are safe.

Hoo boy.
They've declared a state of emergency and I'm not sure how (or if) I'll get home.

I live 1/10 of a mile from the Farmington River .... It was over the banks when I left for work this morning ... but not as bad as I've seen it get. Hope my house is still dry when i get home (one of the few perks of living on a cement slab .......)
Good luck getting home Anita !!! :)

We had blizzard conditions this morning with all the wind and snow. The wind has calmed down, but's snowing like crazy again. Elevation makes a difference - I'm working in downtown Ithaca and the roads aren't bad, but I live in the hills and just came back from an errand, and cars are in ditches all over the places.
They're saying we should get 6" - 12" here. It sounds like you're going to get it worse, Anita. Take care and be safe.

I really feel bad for you guys. My family lives in Jersey and they're telling me how horrible the weather is back there. (I also have it so I can see it on the bottom of my computer screen as well as the time. Stupid 6 hr. time difference.) I'm not even going to tell you what it's like here. I'll spare you the pain.
Global warming? Naaaaaah.

Isn't your employer supposed to let you go home in a state of emergency?
