Anything with Sweet Baby Ray's (http://www.sweetbabyrays.com/) on top of it, on the bottom, on the sides, on the ends. Just soak it - drench it would be better - in Sweet Baby Ray's and I'll eat it!

i gotta go with ribs

I love ribs, but they're difficult to eat and can be hit-or-miss depending on who made them. I think I prefer Bratwurst with a spicey mustard and saurkraut or cole slaw.

Here in the South, BBQ is a touchy subject.

The meat, well, for the most part, can't really be messed up even by trained monkeys. Except for the ribs, I will give you that.

So, with that said, a vinegar based sauce over those ribs is my favorite. If you are ever in Birmingham, e-mail me and I will take you to Dreamland. You ain't never had nothin' like 'em nowhere, or so their slogan goes. www.dreamlandbbq.com

That is "West Alabama" style BBQ, since Dreamland originated outside Tuscaloosa.

PitBoss, the #1 Georger in AL, used to run a BBQ restaurant in Florence, AL. His sauce and others in the area are a sweeter sauce, what we call "North Alabama" style. I prefer this style (my favorite is pork, pulled inside, in a "baker" potato from Full Moon BBQ, but most of the BBQ places around here are about the same, GOOD with their BBQ Bakers).

So, for REAL BBQ, you need to come to Alabama! :)

I've had BBQ from Texas, didn't care for it. Brisket??? You can have it.

I've had South Carolina-style, all smothered with cole slaw. Please, none for me.

Memphis style is the closest I've come to having something that tastes like they make it here.

In Birmingham alone, you can't drive 5 miles without running into another local-chain BBQ place.

That's my favorite. About once every week or two, I go to Bono's BBQ, and get sliced pork, pour cole slaw all over it, and squeeze hot bbq sauce and sweet bbq sauce on it. Then, I mix it all up and chow it down! MMM MMM GOOD!!! :p
