I don't know how much demand there is for this, but since this new forum software allows the ability to create distinct "user groups" and allow access to certain forums based on group membership, I've created an "Adults Only" forum, which is open to anyone who wants access to it. This special forum is not viewable or searchable to anyone outside of the "Adult" group, so you don't have to worry about kids or families accidentally stumbling into an "adult" area (unless it is on your computer, which kids have access to, in which case, you would need to log out of the forums to prevent that from happening).

If you want access to this new forum, please send me a PM, and I'll add you to the "Adult" group, and then you'll be able to see the new forum in the "Other Stuff" category. If I haven't met you in person, please provide some proof that you're over the age of 18. Thanks. And except for discussing or posting anything illegal, I won't be moderating it much or responding to complaints to anything posted in the forum. We'll see how it goes, since I've never done anything like this before.

That could be a strange venture into the unknown - if its an unfiltered forum where people can post offensive and down right dirty things then all I have to say is -

Id give it a shot - Im all for free speech.

Do I get to produce "Bill Trackers Gone Wild?"

Out of curiousity, what kind of failsafes are on the regular forums? While I was playing around the other day, I was able to post (and then DELETE) the words that you usually can't say on TV.

I'm getting the feeling that Hank thinks some of you are too racy for the general public.

Profile Manipulate will be sent along soon Hank..as soon as I get this photo of my driver's license uploaded....

Like, I graduated high school in 1986
Gauchos and Valley Girls were high style when I was 13
I still have my (heavily highlightedand dogeared) copy of The Preppy Handbook
I used to go to Danceteria and Snafu (the Lox Around The Clock) around the corner from The (S)Limelight
I had a poster of Adam Ant from the "Goody Two Shoes" album in summer camp
I have Adam Ant on VINYL
The DJs gave out 45s as gifts at Bar/Bat Mitzvahs (Juice Newton, "Angel Of The Morning") to whomever won "Pass The Orange"
I've been collecting Hello Kitty since she appeared in the US (1976)
I owned a manual typewriter
I owned an electric typewriter
I started out with a 1200 baud modem and an Apple II+
I followed the Dead
I know who Molly Ringwald is

Need more? ;)

Since the new forum I found myself going to It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Forum a lot and always have to think about keeping it clean. My puter time is about me and things I like. It is my down time from the kids and the troop. It will just have to be one more thing to log out of before the kids can enter the room again. :p

don't know about that mitzvah thing, but the rest of it sounds right.

Even worse:

I had a crush on Ally Sheedy
I own (yes, present tense) a 6-switch Atari 2600 (It still works and drives my wife nuts)
We had a top-loading VCR
I grew up with 5 channels on the TV. If the president was on, we were out of luck...
I watched the original Live Aid
I remember the 8-track player in my parents' car (with dread; they had such awful taste in music)
We got apples in our trick-or-treat bags...homemade caramel apples.
I know where I was when the hostages were released...and when the shuttle blew up.
I remember when Nerds were the coolest candy around.
I remember whitewall tires.

(Class of 1988)

'nuff said?

I saw every first run episode of "Gilligan's Island"-- I didn't even know they were filmed in color after the first episode because we had a black & white TV.
Am I old enough?

Yup! I think you qualify. But there was another show that ran the same year Gilligan debuted. I wonder if you remember it? "That Was the Week that Was". I remember laughing at that show, then it didn't even have a second season.
