First, you need to know the URL of the pic
Then, when you're in the posting window, click the little button that looks like a picture of a mountain...it's the fifth button from the right on the toolbar right above this typing space.
When the little window pops up, paste or type the URL into it (ctrl-c to copy, ctrl-v to paste), then hit okay. the photo will appear and you can make it smaller if you want.
Hope that helps!

You won't see it when you do a "quick reply" you need to either use the advanced mode (which you can get to from the quick reply window) or be posting a new post. You can test it out with a new post in the testing forum.
The top of the message window has two lines full of things you can click on to modify your post -- the top has the font selection and size selection, etc... On the second row, about two thirds of teh way over, there is a yellow box with the tiny picture of a mountain and sun.
You have to have your photos somewhere online in your own web space -- a free photo account with some place like photo bucket, or your web space given to you by your provider. You shouldn't link directly to a photo that is on someone else's web page because they may be charged every time that photo is downloaded -- which would be every time someone loaded the page that has your post on it. Or at least it may count against the quota that they're allowed to have people view without being charged.
Once you have a photo online, click that yellow box with the mountain and insert the URL of the image.

It looks like this: http://wheresgeorge.info/images/editor/insertimage.gif
Click that, then type in the URL of where the image is located.
