Sorry I am posting this so late. Tax week is always a hectic week for me.

3/20 265.5 ---- -----
3/27 265.5 ---- -----
4/3 264.0 -1.5 -1.5
4/10 265.0 +1.0 -0.5

My gain isnt water weight this week. I ate snacks like a piggy. And ecercise during tax time in next to impossible. Hopefully, with tax season over soon, and the warmer weather, I will get out in the yard and clean it up.

Please post your weigh in and anything else as a followup to this thread.

Weigh - in:
3-20-06: 217.6
3-27-06: 215.6
4-03-06: 216.0
4-10-06: 214.0

It is nice to see the numbers go down. :D I guess that yardwork Saturday paid off. I was sure my weight was going to go up since I did not work out one day last week when I was scheduled.

week 1 ... -1
week 2 ... -2.5
week 3 ... -2

so far, down 5.5lbs

this week's weigh-in really surprised me. i was AFRAID to step on the scale this morning since i was out friday night and ate all kinds of things i shouldn't have, then over the weekend i ate some of the junk the kids were eating (including donuts).

i guess the walking i've been doing is helping.

Stayed the same this week. Still at 222.5 pounds. Total of +0.5. At least I've stopped gaining weight. Now I have to start going in the opposite direction. I did start exercizing last week, even though it was more a necesity than a decision. Padre season started, so I have to walk to and from the trolley which I take to the game. The trolley is about a 15-20 minute walk to and from home. That was Saturday and Sunday. Last Monday, I did something way overambitious. I took the trolley to work, then went to the game from there. Fifteen minutes to the trolley, thirty very brisk minutes to work (mostly steeply up hill with a couple pounds on my back), twenty five minutes back to the trolley, and 20 minutes home. I was going to do that again on Wednesday, but my hips were still real sore and there was a threat of rain so I ended up just driving to work.
My weaknesses are soda and snacking. I have been drinking the caffeine free diet soda (that tastes like crap) and I don't really have anything to snack on at my house anymore. Therefore, I've been snacking on the only thing i have left, slices of american cheese. Even though I don't put much stock in Atkins, I have to say that my other big weakness is carbs. I love bread and pasta, and they're just so easy to make. Padre season is a double-edged sword for me. There's all the added exercize that I get, but it also begins my summer long obsession with the hot dog bun...

The SCR

P.S. Ya know, after sitting here and pondering it a minute, I do have lots to snack on. It's just that they're vegetables and I never really thought of that as an option before... Wow, what a breakthrough.

Another good week for me:
March 27/06 - 152
April 3/06 - 151
April 10/06 - 150

I did well during the week but ate a bit more than I should have on the weekend otherwise my loss might have been even more. I baked bread yesterday and couldn't resist having a slice with peanut butter and honey--at least I didn't have two slices, which I used to do.

Cheese would be a good thing to snack on. I've read that it is easier to lose weight if you eat dairy foods.

No loss, no gain. Hopefully with warm weather coming I will get out and do more yard work.
Tuesday I am planning on cutting the grass so that will help some (I hope).

I forgot to post last week... mainly because I was up 5 pounds, however, this week I am back down 3. :D

I went for a nice brisk 1.5 hour walk with Callahan yesterday and I managed to wear him out: a dog who runs with the hubby for 30 minutes every morning!

at weigh in this morning, I was still at the same weight as I was last week. And here I thought I was doing well. I walked, and worked out, ate well (salads, etc) but still nothing:(
On the plus side, I think I found one of my down falls - figured it out today while tutoring. Right there, in the middle of the table was a HUGE bucket of candy and I found myself reaching in to get a bite sized snickers, bite sized butterfinger, a couple gummi fish, and on my 4th reach I realized what I was unconsciously doing! Then I thought back and guess what, the candies I have in my room to occasionally reward students (and other teachers when they "NEED CHOCOLATE NOW!!!!"), seem to have been disappearing - and it was me! I guess I am my own worst enemy!
My friend keeps a food log/journal, I think I'll try doing the same this week and we'll see how it goes next Monday at weigh in. Plus I've been trying to get in some more walking and now that the weather is nice, getting outside to get some work done around the house.

i lost a pound this week! i got a workout in 5 days - the other two i simply forgot until i was already in bed. i'll work on the not forgetting part. i'm not feeling well today so i'm skipping the workout. using my one off day on monday probably means i won't make it to 6 workouts this week either.

still, for my first week of working full-time, i'm pretty pleased. i'm having to take more food to work to keep myself from feeling starved in the afternoon, but i've been pretty good about having that afternoon snack be fruit instead of a Coke. i'm going to try to bring salad to eat with my frozen lunches, as that ought to be somewhat filling.

oh, the lemon water on apple slices did ok, but not great, at keeping them from browning. next up, i may try just taking them in a tupperware full of water so they stay submerged.

with not being home anymore on monday, i'll probably do my weigh-in on sunday morning instead.

weigh-in:
3/20 X
3/27 X -1 -1
4/03 X 0 -1
4/09 X -1 -2

I weighed in at 167.2 this morning

That is up 1.6 for the week and about even for the challenge.

I have been eating a whole lot, far too much to loose any weight.

I have been so angry over this illegal alien thing. I think that is the main reason I have been eating so much. Feel free to check the poli forum for my extensive rantings on the subject.

Angry stress makes me eat (and drink) and gain weight.
Worry stress makes me loose weight......I have no clue why.

3/20 -- 261 --- ---
3/27 -- 247 -14 -14
4/03 -- 244 -3 -17
4/10 -- 243 -1 -18

Well, I am very surpized I lost a pound I ate like a pig. I also lost in my measurements as well. I started walking today, so hopefully that will pull more pounds off as well.

My weigh in yesterday morning told me nothing gained, nothing lost. (Still 202) I started walking more, doing 2 laps around the park that's nearby. 1 lap = 1.2 miles. This week's project is to get the bicycle road ready now that the snow is gone. :) To everyone else that's doing this challenge: Keep up the good work and don't be discouraged. :)

I actually began on March 1, 2006

3/01 ~ 315.0
3/20 ~ 308.0 -7.0 -7.0
3/27 ~ 304.6 -3.4 -10.4
4/03 ~ 301.6 -3.0 -13.4
4/10 ~ 298.4 -3.2 -16.6

I'm making slow progress. This is the first time I've been under 300# in a long time. Feels good physically and mentally. I quit drinking soda/pop, cut down on the red meat and trying not to eat a few hours before bedtime. :)

3-21-06 = 232
3-28-06 = no weigh in..
4-4-06 = 228 (-4)
4-11-06 = 228 still (-4)

This week is the start of recovery. Last week I wasn't in the mood to workout because I still felt tired from the week before and was readjusting to being healthy. I tried to eat better last week.

Started walking again in the morning yesterday and today. And then spent some time outside last night doing a little yardwork and taking a walk around the block with my son. Although that walk doesn't burn as much for me, because I am only moving as fast as his 2 yr old legs will go.

But I will take no gain in weight as a plus. I feel lighter and thinner and maybe that will help me get my body to start dropping the weight easier.

Hallo all,

Weighed in this AM at 187.2.

That's down 3.1 for the week, 4.9 for the challenge, and about 57 total.

A coworker greeted me with "Hello, Skinny!" this morning... cool!

Good luck to us all. For Easter have a boiled Easter Egg instead of the chocolate bunny.

no reason you can't taste all of grandma's yummy cooking ... just take small portions so you can at least have SOME ... but fill up on salad - or something equally *good*

enjoy!

(and put down that soda in your hand!)

that's not cheating, that's having a plan!

i'm not organized enough this time around to stick with a program, but i'm doing ok with a general plan for exercise, and trying to be good with food (and do a rough calorie count in my head for the day). i keep meaning to go back and try the food tracker website i used to use, but again - not that organized yet. i might get there if my general plan stops working or stalls out.

today, a can of soda at work, and a half of another one while watching the hockey game at home tonight. no chocolate though. i probably should have had the can of pineapple i had in my desk instead of the soda for my afternoon snack - i felt really shaky after my session on the elliptical trainer, and it wasn't nearly as tough as most of my recent ones.

My Easter isn't until next Sunday where there will be a bounty of breads, sausages, cheeses and nutrolls and poppyseed rolls to break the Easter lenten fast. I'll have to behave myself this week.
