Just a general warning that my boss has had two fake $10's (serial # ASI...) in as many days in the Church/Front St. area.
Beware.

 ! !
Fortunately, no one here would ever enter - or accept - a $10 bill with such a prefix, right?
I've developed a funny habit of immediately checking the serial numbers of every bill I receive...

I do the same thing! I carry around a copy of Seth's Serial #'s chart... Very handy.

is being familiar with bill prefixes in the course of hunting for elusive ones to add to our lists. I bet many Paper Money collectors couldn't tell you the difference between a CBN or BABN note let alone the denomination. I knew right away the prefix belonged to a 1991 $20 and it was funny that we talked about this on Sunday too.:)

Wow! That should certainly save some face when receiving bills or preparing to mark them. Hopefully that prefix won't get blocked from the system as a result and only the specific # and prefix combination would be flagged. If anyone has more information please forward it in a 'contact us' forum to Hank.

I saw a fake today. One of the NEW tens. It was tattered to hell, but it was cearly fake. They tried to do the silvery foil part, but it was badly done.
