Don't feel bad, Flobees! We had to set the timers on two TV's so we wouldn't forget. You break that Thursday night habit for a few weeks, ya know? We missed the last two premire episodes.
Thanks Brenda - looks like I still have 3 years to be a "Younger Woman"!

The VCR is set to tape every Thurs.
And if that's the cut off, I would have been in the "younger males" at least for a few more years.

One of the guys in the older men group was 35. I think one of the women in the older women group was 34.
Where would that put Jeff Probst?:D

I know Tina is 45. I think the other 3 are somewhere around 32, 35 and 48.

Unfortunately I missed it too. Fortunately, yesterday CBS started what they are calling “CBS On Demand”. For $1.99 you can download previously aired episodes of your favorite CBS shows. I downloaded Survivor yesterday and was able to watch what I otherwise would have missed. It took about an hour to download the 600mb file with DSL. It’s only a rental and can be viewed for 24hours after you download it, after that it’s no longer viewable. The picture quality is great and the sound is fantastic. Sadly, my surround-sound system on my PC is much better than my system on my TV. Other than having to sit at a desk instead of on a couch or easy-chair, I really enjoyed watching it on my PC.
Being that it was the first episode of the season I figured it was in my best interest to see the episode. You may want to give it a try, I know I’ll use it again if I miss another episode. I think it was well worth the $1.99, next time I’m going to wheel the recliner into my office though.

It's a good thing I'm not there, cause I would be on the "Older Women" tribe also, and since I'm not scared of leaves, or the outdoors and can (probably) get a good fire going, I'd be home by now.
I don't think the three left will do so well now, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I am also curious as to how the guy who quit smoking will do. He sure reminds me of Tommy Lee.

I'm not so sure I like this new format. I have no problem with teh Exile Island part, but four teams of four... I like the dynamics of the larger tribes seems like a lot more alliance building and back stabbing can take place. Wonder how long before there is a merge.
I still like Apprentice better, but I do also watch Survivor.

I think I am going to like the new format. I would think towards the middle of the show going to exile island might not be a bad thing. You would think they might like the quiet.

Thanks, I will check this out. Didn't know you could do this! You're right, 1.99 is cheap!

I saw Probst on a talk show on Friday and he said they were going to mix teams up on week 2. So maybe down to 2 tribes this Thurs?

Hello my fellow Survivor addicts! I'm glad they will be merging the four tribes into two soon. Very weird beginning this season. What do you all think of the exile island?
CapitolHill Jill

I have a feeling that if they don't merge the "older women" group, they will be gone very quickly!
Unless they have less physical immunity challenges.

Why do you vote off the woman who started the fire, found the water, found a fish, and is a lumberjack! That is just stupid.

I have noticed that it's usually the weakest or the strongest that is voted out at the beginning.

OK, so they are back to two teams and that makes it better I think. I am surprised at how openly they are going after these alliances so early in the game. I guess the thinking is you better get in or you'll be left out.
I think I'd have gone ahead and voted the whiner off! Even though he is better at physical challenges, how good is he going to be when he really doesn't want to be there? I am assuming they got some notice that they were selected for the show, so why was the dumb arse still smoking three packs a day up until the day before? I don't see him lasting very long...
of course, I didn't think Johnny Fairplay would last very long either so what do I know

Just got done watching Thursday's episode. Even teams again. But somehow I think one side is going to keep winning. Outside of the exile island, I don't know how interesting this season is going to be. But of course, I'll stick around, can't help it!

hmmm.. wheels in my head are spinning. wouldnt it be neat if we,as viewers had a say on who goes and stays,at tribal council? then they can really hear us.

haha! They do need to do something different with Jeff, I love him in that role, I just would like to be slightly surprised by his behavior once in awhile.
I am looking forward to tonight!

Glad to see LaMina get it together for a win! Sucked a couple of seasons ago when Stephanie's team lost like 8 in a row. Did you see the look on Arus' face when Jeff called out a vote for him? Bet they have an interesting couple of days back at camp. :)

That tribe drives me crazy!
I don't know why they don't get it together and build a shelter on higher ground.
And how about a little lean-to shelter to put firewood under.
I may not be a camping genius, but I'd sure be wanting to live better than that, whether or not someone helps me.........
They are fun to watch.

I have to wonder how long of time period there was from the final day on the Island to the taping of the finale show.
Aras looked like he had put ten pounds on, you could see it in his face/cheeks!

Doesn't surprise me that Cirie was voted to get the car, She REALLY came a long way from the begining and is such a likable person. Altho I would have loved to see Bruce get the car at the end,,, I felt he was cheated by fate ~ out of making a run for the million Georges!
I liked Shanes little speech - saying that Terry should have been in final 2!
NOW HOW AM I GOING TO GET MY WEEKLY SURVIVOR FIX????

I think it was 5 months. I read something about aras and he had commented that he really thought he had a good chance at winning and said hed hate to think that for 5 months and then see that hes lost. Talk about torture.I would go nuts waiting to see if I was rich or not, lol. With my luck,I would go nuts and then wouldnt be able to receive the money. :p
