When I was a teen, many moons ago, my cousin and I were talking about what he might get his mom (my aunt) for her birthday.

Among the things we talked about was the fact that she liked having brand new bills, but she didn't get them very often. Even then I knew you could get them at the bank if you asked. I can't recall what gave me the idea now, but I thought of how we could make that a present for her.

The idea was to get some hard cardboard the size of a bill, lay the stack of new bills on it and use rubber cement along the left side short edge to make a little booklet of brand new bills. She could just pull it out of her purse and pop off 2 or three bucks for something.

We went and got 50 new bills at the bank. It was a little thicker than we though, so it ended up being two little booklets of 25 bills each. I think this was the best home-made present I ever helped make for somebody; she really liked it and though it was wonderful every time she used it.

Anyway, just something I remembered just now. And maybe something to make for somebody you know.
